We've had our first two 'backyard' football games and will have to say it's pretty great.
The kids can choose to not watch the game and they can run back and forth to the house (or chase the cats).

Tyson even managed to find himself a beer to drink
We headed over after halftime (when they quit charging admission) and so we could mingle and the kids could play.
We broke down on the 2nd game and came over by everyone else at the start of the game. It's a little more social and the kids enjoyed running around. Tyson is suprisingly into the games...it's like they know.
Here he is with his buddy Matthew. These guys will be in the same class and maybe even playing football together...don't they just look tough?
