So, we've been through quite a bit in the last few weeks in preparation to move. We found out early last week that our buyers were having appraisal issues on the house they were selling. We tentatively put everything on hold but yesterday heard that they were terminating our buy/sell agreement. So, we're not moving (yet) and we're starting over on the House-for-Sale process.
We have mixed feelings - on one hand we're glad we don't have to move right away and into a rental; and we have more time to find something we'd like to buy - on the other hand, we would have liked to be renting so when we do find something, we could act on it right away. We figure everything happens for a reason and we'll just hang in there until somebody else comes along. So, if you know anybody interested in buying a house in Manhattan...send them our way!
