A Great Date to be Eight

Kaitlyn had her 8th Birthday on Thursday night!

This was the cake that Morgan decorated for her. 

This was after Kaitlyn's requested Hamburger Helper, broccoli and cantaloupe dinner.

The cake was pink base w/ black & orange tiger stripes and lots of sprinkles. It tasted better than it looked.

 ...and her first IPod Shuffle. It was hard to wipe the smile off her face. Daddy had loaded up some of her favorite songs.

While the big kids were in the shower Daddy started setting up the pool with Devin. 

 Devin found his way into the pool rather quickly. Nice warm water.

 Tyson found himself in the box :)

 They started out just walking around in their jammies getting their feet wet. Then, stripped down and had themselves some fun. 

 Devin was the hose-man, splashing everyone as needed.

 He was a drown rat!

I was the bad guy when I had to call it off at 9pm! They had fun though.

 Saturday the girls had softball field cleanup so the boys and I finished getting ready for the big party.

Earlier that day at school Daddy surprised Kaitlyn and came to school to have lunch with her. Mommy and the boys came at 3 to share her cupcakes with the class. 

Her teacher asked her lots of questions about her big day. 

After singing she got to hand out the goods. 

Devin was feeling like part of the gang...he was liking 2nd grade.
