The girls had their Spring Concert last week - Morgan was to be a cowgirl and Kaitlyn patriotic red, white & blue.

Daddy did some fine-tuning on the lawnmower so he and Devin decided to try a few passes late one evening. If you can image Devin was upset when I came to get him for bed.
Mommy got to go on Kaitlyn's 2nd Grade Field Trip on Friday. It's been a few years since Mommy rode on a school bus :)
We learned about animal nutrition at our first stop. This cow had a port so you could access it's stomach and see what it had eaten.
They were intrigued but a little grossed out too :)
Our 2nd stop was the Museum of the Rockies.
They had a new space exhibit. Bailey, Kaitlyn, Kailey, and Mason on the moon. We spent most of our time here as there was a ton of interactive displays.
Then we flew through the dinosaurs...
On our way out we posed by the metal horse.
Then we hiked about 3 miles on the trails to get to Bogart Park.
Kaitlyn and her favorite flowers.
@ the park after some lunch.
Our last stop was the Raptor Center. The kids had studied a lot about them this year so they were really into it. Mommy was hesitant, as birds are not my favorite creatures.
Bu, the great horned owl. He'd been hand fed by humans and cannot survive on his own hunting abilities.
Chaco, a red-tailed hawk, had a damaged wing so he's been at the raptor center for 10+ years.
Nigel, the little owl was seriously cute. He had a damaged wing and could not fly as well.
Pilgrim, the turkey vulture was pretty interesting. This one had been hit by a car and could no longer fly.
A Peregrine Falcon
This eagle was a new addition and wasn't too friendly. But it was cool to see one up close.
Learning about the eagle.
