Kaitlyn was so relieved that July was over because we'd had more than our usual share of lightning and thunder; which neither her nor Morgan enjoy. Apparently I had said that we don't get many storms late in the summer and into fall. So...now she's probably wondering how many other things I've told her that she can't believe now.

Less than a week after we returned from Canada...we had ourselves a nice little (big) hail storm (on August 1st). 2nd Grandma and the kiddos were on there way home from swimming and they barely made it inside the house before the storm hit. Some say golf-ball-size, some say quarter-size but either way it caused some damage to just about everything that was facing west.
We fared well in comparison to some people in town but still have hundreds of holes in our siding on the house, shop, and other outbuildings.
Kind of a weird angle but it was taken almost an hour after the storm had passed through.
The trampoline got thrown around a little...this thing has had a rough year.
The tree closest to the house managed to lose its' top...not sure how it didn't hit the house but it didn't :)
Yum...snow in August!
Yes, this was the 2nd tragedy to the garden this year (the 1st being the seed cart that tipped over). I'm thinking that somebody is trying to tell me that I'm not to be a gardener...
Along with the hail we received half an inch of rain in 10 minutes. It made for a nice wading pool for the kiddos.
Morgan even got her baby out for a swim.

We had made plans to go to Lewistown for Cousin Addy's birthday party but canceled so we could do some cleanup and assessment of the damage.
Tyson...he can't help himself.
Devin was big help.
I had told Tyson to go inside and change out of his jammies. So he went in and came back out with cowboy boots and Morgan's shortie-shorts on...lovely. 2nd Grandma said he looked like the construction worker from the Village People.
We got it all clean though!
