Nations Family Reunion

The 2nd weekend in August we went to the Nations Family Reunion - my Grandma Dewanna (Dad's Mom) was one of the four Nations' sisters. My Aunt Rita managed to get some of us in one spot - St Regis MT.

Aunt Jean, Aunt Rita, Grandpa JD, and their Cousin Carol

Uncle Mike and Aunt Rita whom live in Lakeside MT (near Kalispell)

Their daughter Crystal (my cousin) and her family Melissa, Shai, Regan and Kieran from Salem, OR.

Some familiar faces....Ginny and Grandpa from TFalls MT.

Aunt Jean and Uncle Al from Portland, OR.

Steve, Carol and 1 of 4 of their children Stephanie. They came all the way from Fairbanks Alaska!

Here was our troop - minus 2nd Grandma.

There she is...talking with Ginny.

We were on our way with Devin's Jellycat

Devin trying on Grandpa's old hat.

We had to get all the toys out right away...this place had some nice roads that needed riding on.

Trying out the Strider...put on a few more miles in his jammies.

So what else do you do at a reunion but sit and talk, cook food, then clean up and start preparing for the next meal?

Daddy and his triple stack of Dutch Ovens with some good stuff cooking inside.

Grandpa and Steve sizing up the chicken and ribs.

The kiddos rocking this chair as high as it would go...of course.

We were super prepared for the first day of school and asked Ginny to bring her hair cutting gear.

Both girls got a trim. Morgan less because she wants to grow hers out.

The place Rita picked was an RV Campground but it also had cabins and a common area which worked our perfectly. There was alot for the kids to do also...hiking, ghost town, playground and a pool.

Tyson at the playground.

Playing secret spies in the commons area.

Daddy trying his had at Uno vs the kiddos.

Chess anyone?

What?

...and, where they spent the majority of their time....the pool!
Love this picture of Tyson

Morgan is quite the swimmer now. She's put it all together this summer with all the swimming 2nd Grandma has made possible for them.

Kaitlyn is a pro now...she swims in the deep end, goes underwater, does headstands and...

jumps in and out like a little fishy.

Devin...well he's working on it.

He does pretty well in the < 2' deep water but this pool was too deep.

What a great day and the kids swam for at least 8 hours...they were trilled!

Daddy even joined in with a cannon ball or two...:)
