Kaitlyn's Trip

After patiently waiting all summer for her horse to heal up...Kaitlyn finally got to spend her week in Thompson Falls with Grandpa and Ginny.

There wasn't a day that they didn't ride horses and most rides were into the mountains.

Blossom Lake with Griz (the dog) and Doc...eating again.

Strategically the week in TFalls followed the family reunion so one ride was with Grandpa's Cousin Carol (from Fairbanks Alaska).

Her daughter Stephanie even got in on a quick ride.

So yes, a lot of miles were rode...

...a lot of fishing was done...

...a lot of fish were caught...

...a lot of Huckleberries were picked...and eaten.

But her favorite part of the trip was getting to see a Bull Moose up close!

 See him back there?

You can't see him as well in this picture but her face is too sweet. She had never seen a moose before, let alone that close up.

Her and Grandpa also go real close to a Mommy Golden Eagle sitting on her nest (according to Kaitlyn). She really got into raptors in 2nd grade so it was thrilling for her to see one in the wild.

All and all it appeared that they had a pretty good time.

Thank you Grandpa and Ginny...she'll be talking about this trip until next year :)
