Manhattan has somewhat of a lame Spring Break arrangement: just 3 days around Easter so we hung out and did responsible things like Dr appointments, grocery shopping, spring cleaning and vet visits.

Luckily we had family that wanted to come visit for Easter too!
The kids were pretty excited to get together - as we haven't seen them since Christmas.

Kaitlyn chose not to do the Egg Hunt but she did want to help the younger ones collect eggs. Smart move as the big kids are a little out of control.

Because we were all dressed up, Mommy had an idea to go down by the river and get some family photos. Auntie E had her fancy-schmancy camera so why not? As we got out of the car, her battery died :( So we used mine...but they turned out pretty good.
Yeah, we tried to capture a jump off the rock photo but it didn't happen :)

The story behind this is Daddy and Uncle Jay found a big branch in the brush...drug it out in front of this log...propped it up with another branch...put a cowboy hat on it...then a sweater on top of that...then the camera delicately balanced on top. Uncle Jay set the timer, then hurdled over the log and made it into the photo just in time. You'd never know right?

He wouldn't even get out of the picture so I could get Easton.
They were way more interested in throwing rocks though.
