At this year's Potato Festival our 4-H club volunteered to serve the community dinner.
Deanna, Kaitlyn and Kalyn serving up desserts.
The whole crew.
Getting to work.
Cleanup afterward.
Saturday morning was the parade. Mommy had to ride on the truck with the kids because Daddy shot in a trap tournament in the morning. He couldn't make the parade because he placed high enough to stay for the final rounds. He ended up with 2nd place!
Year #2 on Mr. Mike's truck - we'll call it tradition now :-) Next year we'll have to make a banner for the "Yadon Road Yankees"
Gus, Payden, and Blaise
All smiles and full of sugar.
Devin classified his candy by type. I'm sure the kids on the side of the street will appreciate that.
A nice smokey day for a parade...
...lots of people though. No other pictures...I was sweating trying to keep up with the kids candy needs :-)
After the parade we didn't really participate in the festival - other than Kaitlyn going and spending her $22 on an old lady handbag. I'll have to hand it to her, she talked the vendor down from $30 but we're not quite sure when she'll be using it. We did have a steak and seafood BBQ at our house later that evening with a few friends. All in all, it was a good weekend and a good way to celebrate the end of the summer.
