Our big family vacation this year was 10 days traveling to Canada. The main reason we went was a friend from high school was getting married in Whistler B.C. so we decided to make a 10-day camping trip out of it. We left after work Wednesday and made it as far as...Missoula. Devin had a tummy ache that required us to stop and do laundry...and not really the start we wanted for our trip.

Day 2 was good, we made it through Idaho and Washington on our way to the Seattle-area.
We took a back road through Wenatchee (to avoid Seattle itself with a 5th wheel). Made a pit stop in Leavenworth, a Bavarian-themed village.
It was a nice to stop and stretch the legs...but it was HOT! We opted for ice cream...
...and to play in the water trough.
It was a beautiful drive after that through the Wenatachee National Forest. We ended up getting all the way to Bellingham (the last town before the border crossing) that night. Devin helped Daddy setup the camper.
We crossed into the border with ease. We were a little worried that they were going to rummage through the entire camper but they didn't...yeah! Welcome to British Columbia!

After we crossed the border we found a Costco and stocked up on fruit, veggies, and meat (things we were told not to bring across). After that we had a fast and furious ride through the VERY BUSY city of Vancouver. The speed limit was 60km/hr and we were getting run over at 100km/hr...must just be a 'guildeline'. Nonetheless me made it to our first destination, Whistler.
There was a wedding BBQ that night for all the people attending. It was at a clubhouse so the kids decided to try out the durability of the putting greens nearby.
They had a great time meeting new friends, got eaten alive by mosquitos and were completely exhausted.
Saturday the wedding wasn't until the afternoon so we got the bikes out and went exploring in Whistler.
We found a great playground at the Olympic Park. This slide had rollers all the way down and every kid loved it.

The kids had been dying to go swimming so after out bike ride Devin needed a nap. The big kids and Mommy got changed and rode down to the closest lake. Low and behold...it was the coldest one, Green lake. It was a beautiful green color though.
It also served as the airport for the town, which only has float planes. Tyson was loving this.
There were two that took off and one that landed while we were there.
