Ashton came over the 4th of July and stayed with us for the week. He was pretty excited to come so he had written me this note. ALL of the kids enjoyed themselves the whole week.
They even did a lemonade stand (how cute is this?) and made $40 to split between them. We have Maggie to thank for helping them as it's not high on Mommy's priority list to do such a thing.
A hike up Palisade Falls with Maggie and the neighbor boys Steven & Payden.
Ashton suggested we have a "date night", something he does weekly when with Green Grandma and Papa Gale. I asked him where he wanted to eat and he said Minnies (a cafe in Thompson Falls). I broke the news that we did not have a Minnies, just a Garden Cafe in Manhattan. After I said no to both McDonalds & Wendy's, he suggested The Olive Garden. He said he'd never been there but it sounded real nice on TV. So Olive Garden it was.
Devin found out that they put lemons in the water at The Olive Garden.
Chip had a friend over for the weekend; Ruby, whom he plays with at Mommy's work. They played 24/7 and had a great time. I think Chip is officially taller than Ruby now...what do you think?
The younger kids were kinda on their own to survive as Mommy and Kaitlyn were prepping for the fair. Cooking, writing for projects and a few other last minute tasks.
Grooming Ms. Priss
More cooking on Sunday :)
If it wasn't so cute ..I would think it was obscene.
Playing in the puddle...nothing like a good rain to bring back his favorite pastime, playing in the mud.
Morgan's picture of Kaitlyn by Lake Pavlik.
Morgan reading Mr. Cranky a story.
Really dirty laundry.
The girls and Devin got all dressed up on evening...looking sharp Cowboy.
Yes, that's lipstick.
And a little bit later Morgan wanted to switch gears (ha ha ha) and do some motorcycle riding. Devin said he wanted to but after a couple laps, changed his mind. Love this picture :)
