We headed west to TFalls for the 4th of July weekend.
In Pavlik fashion - we left after work and got there late.
Luck would have it, we were just in time for dinner :)
These two were glad to see each other.

Uncle J and Auntie E had come a day early and gone riding into a mountain lake with Grandpa and Ginny. I got Ericka's pictures so I picked my favorites :)

The next day these two were ready to be buddies.
They rode the treads off their bike wheels...which is exactly what each of them wanted to do.
Speaking of doing exactly what you want to do...
Grandpa, Ginny, Mommy, and Kaitlyn took Friday and rode into Arrowhead Lake.
Rest Stop #1
When we got up there the fishing poles came out...
...somebody 'fell' in...
...and we found ourselves with 18 fish in the matter of a couple hours.
She didn't want to hold it real bad but she still did :-)

Now....time to clean the fish. It wasn't her favorite part but she helped.

Happy 4th! Kaitlyn forgot her red/white/blue so she borrowed Ginny's.
All of the girls were going for a ride with Grandpa and Aunt Kerri
These are some horse-loving girls.
Especially this one. This is Sunny, who was Aunt Kerri's horse but now lives at Grandpa's. Kaitlyn's pretty attached already!

Once the girls left we headed to a creek to cool down.
The boys wanted to surf...
...in 6 inches of creek water :)
It was extremely cold water (maybe 45 degrees) so the feet were chilled pretty quick.
They splashed around for awhile but decided that throwing rocks was more fun...and less cold.
The temp was perfect for beer cooling - which was an objective of these two!

Then the riders showed up. They had done a loop that would end where we were going to be, which was awesome because they were hot after their ride.
Devin even took a brief ride with Grandpa on Cash.
Not sure how they managed to go this deep without hypothermia but they're tough.
Aunt Kerri got in with them too...good thing for fun Aunties...because Mommy said NO.
This is the life!

The big bummer of TFalls for the 4th was they are so dry that there were no fireworks allowed. We obviously could have done them anyway but even Grandpa was concerned because they've had such hot, dry weather. So what's the next best thing? Glowsticks! Thankfully Aunt Kerri's friend Rob had thought to pick some up because they were a hit.
The kids had a great time with them and Auntie E's camera took some cool shots of them.
It was a great weekend and we had an awesome time getting to see everyone!
