Fair Week 2015

Kaitlyn had another great year at the Fair!

Here she is...reluctantly finishing her fair cooking projects.

OK - I need a break to hang out with my rabbit (and jealous cat)

Monday part of the group helped set up our booth - themed "Party in the Dirt"

Tuesday was interview day - all smiles and ready to go.

First her indoor projects: sewing, cooking and archery.
She received 109 out of 110 points!
She received:
Best of Show & 3 blues in cooking, 1 blue and 2 red in sewing, and blue in archery.

Second interview was for her Rabbit projects. She received 110 points on this one!

Fashion Revue.

She's an old hand at this Fashion Revue stuff now. She did great and is getting much more comfortable getting up in front of strangers. She even volunteered to go first.

Wednesday was Rabbit Day. Here they are patiently waiting with daddy.

At the breed show - purple ribbon for Vic :-)

More waiting for the showmanship.

She's up. This was the novice group (anyone in there first year). Kaitlyn did really well and made it through her entire routine.
Being flipped over - not Vic's favorite part.

She even correctly answered the two questions given to her by the judge!

They're all set in the cages and the ribbons placed! Later that night Vic ate the entire blue ribbon and most of the purple. But at least we have a picture of them :-)

We had barn duty and Kaitlyn decided to get her rabbit out. She ended up talking to random strangers about her rabbit for almost 2 hours! It was a really good experience for her.

Morgan even got Toothless out too - they were quite the pair.

Here's what Devin did. He was fair-ed out!

Kaitlyn's Rabbit educational poster won best in show!

The club booth also one a purple rosette for best use of theme!

Archery Poster was a blue too.
I had found this quote when I was looking around for fair-related things and thought it was pretty awesome. We used in on our club booth but it's very fitting. Kaitlyn was so proud of what she had accomplished this year and is already looking forward to next year!

Our little Jailbird did well. Until next year...:-)
